Zero Radioactive Dust Protection System

Although radiation is part of our natural environment, exposure to excessive levels has major health impacts and can cause death. Radioactive dust, a by-product of radioactivity, can be particularly harmful to humans. This dust is a carcinogen which when ingested can remain in the body for days, putting the colon and other organs at extreme long-term risk. The health risks of any level of radiation exposure are well documented by national and international scientific and nuclear regulatory bodies, including those shown below.

Residents living nearby to nuclear-fueled power plants, common place in our industrial society, are particularly vulnerable to potentially catastrophic radioactive leaks. Nuclear medicine manufacturers, as well as nuclear-powered ships and submarines, are other potential sources of such leaks.

Zero manufactures a highly specialised gasketing system that can be invaluable in protecting lives in close proximity to radiation contamination from any source. Our #1012 Radioactive Dust Protection System features an integrated sealing system that completely blocks penetration by radioactive dust. The System can be integrated into door solutions which also block penetration by gamma and neutron rays for complete radiation protection. Specialised installation is required.
