Further to our previous announcement dated the 11th June concerning our FBLS fire block louvre system, we are pleased to advise that following a successful fire test, original assessment C129754 has now been re-issued (as issue 3) by Warringtonfire.

This means that with immediate effect all sizes, including the 4 sizes which were previously totally withdrawn from sale (254x1524mm, 305x1524mm, 457x914mm and 457x1524mm), can again be specified and used in previously tested steel doorsets for a duration of up to 240 minutes to BS 476: Part 22: 1987 (integrity only).

Therefore, our steel door BS476 evidence is now exactly as it was before, main criteria being; up to 240 minute duration, all sizes, and no below 1000mm fitting stipulation.

Furthermore, due to the size we tested, we have widened our scope and can now offer widths up to 813mm wide cut-out. Previously this was 610mm wide.

This is great news as I’m sure you’ll agree and emphasises our commitment to only offer product which you can rely on.

A copy of assessment report C129754 issue 3 is obviously available upon request for a full explanation of criteria.

Sorry for any inconvenience this temporary change in test evidence may have caused, but we hope you understand that it was totally out of our control, and we have addressed it as quickly as possible.

If you require any further clarification, please feel free to contact us.
