Prevent Painful Door Slamming Finger Injuries with Salvadita
The Salvadita anti-slam safety system stops a door from slamming shut when force is used. Ideal for use in nurseries, schools, supermarkets, restaurants, fast food outlets, hotels, hospitals, doctors’ surgeries, libraries, leisure centres and any public building.
The patented anti-slam finger protection device fits to the top of the door frame and only activates when a door is closed with extreme force. On normal closing, the Salvadita safety system won’t engage, allowing the door to close normally and without interruption. Suitable for use on aluminium, metal, PVC and wooden door sets, the durable Salvadita anti-slam device prevents painful crushing accidents when hands or fingers are placed between the door and frame.
Whether vulnerable adults or children, painful finger-crushing accidents are far more common than you might think. A staggering 30,000 people trap and seriously crush their fingers in doors every year, according to the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA). And over 1500 of these alarming finger-trapping incidents, particularly involving children, will require surgery.
Although finger-crushing accidents are more common with children, older people and those with special needs, a painful finger-crushing incident can happen to anyone. And every door presents a potential risk. From commercial buildings such as residential homes, schools, nurseries, leisure centres and libraries, fitting a Salvadita anti-slam safety device to the top of your doors will eliminate the risk of painful opening-side finger injuries. Salvadita anti-slam finger protection devices are quick and easy to install and will protect hands and fingers year after year.
Can only be fitted to interior doors. It must be fitted at least 1800mm from the floor. Must be fitted to doors at least 40mm thick and with the maximum weight of 40kg. Can not be fitted to fire doors or emergency exit doors as this device could stop the door from closing.
