Market leading intumescent louvre system for steel fire doors

NOW TESTED TO BS EN 1634-1:2014

We’re excited to announce that following a successful program of testing our popular FBLS fire block louvre system is now suitable for use in previously successfully tested steel fire doors to BS EN 1634-1:2014.

Although BS EN 1634-1:2014 is a more onerous standard, no compromise was made regarding the duration we wanted to achieve, meaning the FBLS still offers up to 240 minutes integrity protection. Furthermore, we have increased the size scope we can offer to a maximum square cut-out of 660mm wide x 660mm high, and a maximum rectangular cut-out of 483mm wide x 1676mm high.

  • Suitable for 240 minute steel integrity only fire doors
  • Complete system – not just an intumescent block
  • Heavy duty steel louvres
  • Over 25 sizes from stock available immediately
  • Large ‘full door’ sizes tested and covered
  • Non-vision for privacy
  • Suits doors of 44mm minimum thickness – no maximum thickness

Having certification to BS EN 1634-1:2014, full door sizes (providing they are mounted above 500mm from the floor), and a duration of 240 minutes, sets the FBLS at the forefront of the industry.

Full details of the FBLS can be found here, please feel free to contact us if you require any further information.

Note: With immediate effect, this new EN tested FBLS will be the default system supplied to steel door manufacturers. However, we can still supply the FBLS to BS 476: Part 22: 1987 if required, just let us know at the time of ordering. The BS system will be the default system supplied to timber door manufacturers.
