The ZEROplus top selling Slimport is a circular vision frame for installation in doors and partitions. Is now available in full kits, that includes circular vision frame, glass, glazing tape and intumescent aperture liner. They are available in fire rated and non fire rated packs. The fire rated packs include the circular vison frame, fire rated safety glass, fire rated glazing tape and intumescent aperture liner. The non-fire rated packs includes circular vision frame, laminated safety glass and glazing tape. All kits are available to suit three different door cut-outs: 250mm, 350mm and 450mm. With countersunk holes in the bevel return on one side only, and 25mm screws that pass through the door cut-out and fix internally, the Slimport looks good aesthetically, and is totally free from visible fixings on the corridor side.

Simply select the cut out size of the circular frame. the door thickness required, finish that is wanted and if require fire rated or non fire rated. 

 
INSTALLATION
The Slimport low projection porthole is available in three diameters and offers concealed fixing one side, and screw fixing through the bevel on the other side. The fixing screws pass through the door cut-out and fasten to the opposite side of the vision frame, eliminating the need to drill the door for through fixing bolts. They are designed for flush fitting to both steel and timber doors.

Each set is supplied complete with all fixing screws and instructions. Also includes Glazing tape, intumescent aperture liners and glass. The door cut-out should be the same size as the order size of the vision frame i.e. 250mm, 350mm or 450mm.

Please note products supplied in zinc finish should be painted by the customer before supplying to site. Zinc finish is not a satisfactory final site finish and may be considered unsightly.

DOOR & GLASS THICKNESS
Slimports are available to suit the two most popular door thicknesses of 44mm and 54mm with a tolerance either way of ±2mm. The glazing pocket is 10mm wide (±2mm in relation to the door thickness) to accommodate 6mm thick glass and appropriate glazing tape.

To obtain the reference for different diameter Slimports, simply change the ‘250’ in the references above to ‘350’ or ‘450’. The suffix ‘-SS’ refers to satin stainless steel – GV’ refers to zinc plated.

GLASS
Fire rated glass for up to 60 minutes. 8mm thick clear modified toughened fire-resistant glass. The glass size is 27mm less than cut size for the slimport, to accommodate the glazing tape. Available in either 223mm, 323mm, 423mm diameter circular glass. 

Non fire rated 6.4mm thick laminated clear safety glass is impact resistant to BS EN 14449:2005 Class 2B2. It will not shatter on impact; it will break but remain in place, making it perfect to use in public areas. The glass size is 27mm less than cut size for the slimport, to accommodate the glazing tape. Available in either 223mm, 323mm, 423mm diameter circular glass.

GLAZING TAPES
Fire rated - 9157984PSA (FS9009) – Manufactured using spinning technology and is based on a calcium-magnesium-silica chemistry. Gives excellent thermal and physical stability up to its operational limit of 1100°C and has a melting point in excess of 1330°C. Fire rated for up to 60 minutes and tested to BS EN 1634-1:2000. Has pressure sensitive adhesive backing. 4mm thick, 25mm width x 10 metre coils, White.

Non fire rated - ZPGT-3010/DS – Manufactured in the UK, these polyvinyl foam tapes are supplied with double sided tape, based on an all-weather solvent acrylic adhesive system. They are protected with an acrylic liner. Application temperature +10°C to +45°C. Service temperature -20°C to +90°C. 3mm tick, 10mm wide x 25 metre coil. Black. Double sided tape.

APERTURE LINERS
Fire rated - 40621750PSA (FS4004) – intumescent aperture is supplied 44mm wide to suit 30-minute fire rated timber doors. On fire rated timber doors, it is necessary to line the aperture with 1.6mm thick intumescent liner which in the event of fire begins to expand at 288°C and expands 80 times its volume to ensure that the integrity of the door is maintained. the liner is supplied with PSA (pressure sensitive adhesive tape). 

FIRE TESTING
Mild steel and stainless steel Slimport glazed vision panel systems are assessed for up to 60 minutes on previously successfully fire tested timber based doorsets and up to 240 minutes on insulated and uninsulated steel based doorsets (mild steel, galvanised steel and stainless steel) with respect to BS EN 1634-1: 2000 and/or BS 476: Part 22: 1987. Slimport frames must be used in the same configuration as tested with an aperture of the same size as that proposed being used (vision or louvre acceptable).
